Fire Breaks Out at Sheikh-ul-Alam Hospital Karan Nagar; Patients Evacuated Safely

Srinagar, May 16 (JKNS): A fire incident was reported from Sheikh-ul-Alam Hospital, Karan Nagar in Srinagar on Saturday evening, triggering prompt evacuation of patients and swift response from fire and emergency services.

Officials told news agency JKNS that the fire broke out on the fourth floor of the hospital at around 2025 hours due to an electric short circuit.

They said that patients admitted on the affected floor were immediately evacuated as a precautionary measure, while fire and emergency personnel rushed to the spot and managed to bring the blaze under control.

Authorities confirmed that the situation was swiftly contained and no loss of life or major damage was reported in the incident. (JKNS)
