Srinagar, May 15 (JKNS): Continuing its aggressive campaign against narcotics and substance abuse under the ongoing “Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan,” Srinagar Police on Friday carried out a special destruction drive targeting wild bung cultivation near Shamshan Ghat Rambagh in Srinagar.

As per news agency JKNS, Police carried out a special Destruction Drive against wild Bung near Shamshan Ghat Rambagh.

During the drive, wild bung/weed vegetation spread across the area was identified and destroyed by police teams to prevent its misuse for narcotic purposes and to curb the menace of drug abuse at its roots.

The drive was conducted as part of the proactive measures being undertaken by Srinagar Police to eradicate illegal narcotic substances and create awareness among the public regarding the harmful effects of drugs on society, particularly the youth.

Srinagar Police remains committed towards ensuring a drug free society and appeals to the general public to extend cooperation by sharing any information related to narcotics cultivation, drug peddling, or substance abuse with the nearest police establishment. (JKNS)
