New Delhi, May 13 (JKNS): Er. Aijaz Hussain, State Executive Member BJP and Co-Incharge Minorities, UT of Jammu & Kashmir, on Wednesday called on Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs Kiren Rijiju at his official residence in New Delhi and held detailed discussions on a wide range of issues concerning minority communities across the country, with particular focus on welfare initiatives, community empowerment, the ongoing Haj pilgrimage arrangements, and forthcoming Muharram preparations.

During the interaction, Er. Aijaz Hussain raised several important matters related to the socio-economic and educational upliftment of minority communities and stressed the need for effective implementation of various welfare schemes at the grassroots level to ensure inclusive development and wider public outreach.

Er. Aijaz Hussain shared valuable feedback and suggestions regarding facilities, coordination, accommodation, transportation, and assistance being extended to Haj pilgrims, especially those from Jammu & Kashmir. He emphasized the importance of efficient management and timely support to ensure a smooth and comfortable pilgrimage for devotees.

Er. Aijaz Hussain also discussed the forthcoming Muharram arrangements and highlighted the need for proper civic facilities, uninterrupted essential services, medical assistance, traffic regulation, sanitation measures, and smooth administrative coordination during the holy month. He stressed that all necessary arrangements should be ensured for mourners and religious processions so that Muharram is observed peacefully, respectfully, and with proper dignity.

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju gave a patient hearing to the issues and suggestions presented during the meeting and assured full support and cooperation in addressing the genuine concerns of the community and strengthening welfare and facilitation measures related to Haj and Muharram arrangements.

Er. Aijaz Hussain appreciated the proactive approach of the Government of India towards minority welfare and lauded the continuous efforts being made under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for inclusive growth, empowerment, and responsive governance. He also thanked the Union Minister for his warm and positive response to the matters discussed during the meeting. (JKNS)
