Govt Orders Reshuffle in J&K, Two JKAS Officers Transfered

Srinagar, May 8 (JKNS): The Government of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday ordered transfers and postings of two JKAS officers in the interest of administration.

As per Government Order No. 889-JK(GAD) of 2026 issued by the General Administration Department (Services), as per news agency JKNS, the changes have been made with immediate effect.

According to the order, Mr. Khalid Jehangir, JKAS, who was serving as Secretary in the Industries and Commerce Department, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner, Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Jammu and Kashmir, against an available vacancy.

The order further states that Mr. Soheel Noor Shah, JKAS, who was awaiting adjustment in the General Administration Department, has been posted as Special Secretary in the Chief Minister’s Public Services and Outreach Office, Raabita. (JKNS)
