Srinagar, May 7 (JKNS): Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday paid tribute to the armed forces on the anniversary of Operation Sindoor, stating that the operation reflected India’s unwavering resolve to protect the nation’s sovereignty and integrity.

Today marked one year of the ‘Operation Sindoor’, on May 7, 2025, the Indian Armed Forces launched Operation Sindoor, carrying out coordinated precision strikes on multiple terror infrastructures in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir in response to the deadly Pahalgam terror attack in which 26 civilians, mostly tourists, were killed.

In a post on X, as per news agency JKNS, LG Sinha said, “As we mark the anniversary of #OperationSindoor, we bow in reverence to the men and women in uniform whose unwavering resolve and extraordinary courage delivered a fitting response to the enemy who targeted innocent civilians at Pahalgam.”

He further said that Operation Sindoor stands as a declaration of the commitment and bravery of the Indian armed forces in safeguarding the country at any cost.

“Operation Sindoor is a declaration etched in resolve that our brave armed forces are committed to protect the country’s sovereignty and integrity at any cost. It is a testament to India’s firm resolve and we are committed to dismantling the terror network and securing a terror-free J&K,” LG Sinha said in the post.

‘Operation Sindoor’ targeted key terror launchpads and facilities linked to outfits including Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba, marking one of India’s most expansive multi-domain military responses in recent decades. (JKNS)
