Srinagar, May 6 (JKNS): National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah on Wednesday said that wars do not provide solutions but only create problems, asserting that the world is not ready for another conflict amid worsening economic conditions globally.

Speaking to reporters, Dr Farooq Abdullah, as per news agency JKNS, said, “No one is going to die. Don’t worry. The world is not ready for war. The economic conditions of every country are getting worse, and no country wants war to start again, especially when oil and gas resources are concentrated in the Middle East.”

He added, “If there is pressure on these resources, the condition of the world will deteriorate so badly that survival itself will become difficult.”

Commenting on India’s position, he said, “India is already strong. What is lacking in India?”

On incidents like blasts, he remarked, “There are always such incidents in India. It is nothing new, so there is no need to panic.”

Referring to global conflicts, he said, “Wars don’t bring solutions, they bring problems. Look at Ukraine and the Middle East—there is destruction everywhere.”

On opposition protests, Dr Abdullah said, “It is a good thing. That is their job. If they don’t protest, how will they survive? Our party is functioning the way we want, and we don’t want to go back.” (JKNS)
