Leh, Apr 30 (JKNS): Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday reached Leh on a two-day visit, where he is scheduled to take part in a series of official and ceremonial programmes, officials said.

As per news agency JKNS, the visit comes ahead of Buddha Purnima and coincides with the first-ever international exhibition of the sacred relics of Gautama Buddha, which is set to commence on May 1.

 

 

 

 

Officials said that during his stay, the Home Minister will attend the inaugural function of the exposition and also review key developmental projects underway in the Union Territory of Ladakh.

 

 

 

 

He is also expected to be briefed by senior administrative and security officials on important issues related to the region, they added. (JKNS)
