Sopore Police Cracks Down on Fake News, Warns of Strict Action Against Rumour Spreaders

Srinagar, Apr 24 (JKNS): In a firm advisory aimed at curbing misinformation, Sopore Police on Friday warned social media users against sharing unverified content, stating that rumour mongering leading to public disorder will invite strict legal action.

Issuing an advisory, as per news agency JKNS, Sopore Police urged citizens to “post responsibly” and follow a three-step verification check, cross-check, and recheck before sharing any message or image on digital platforms.
