Srinagar, Apr 24 (JKNS): Patients, including attendants, at SKIMS Bemina on Friday expressed concern over the non-availability of online payment facilities at the hospital counters, stating that the issue has caused inconvenience to visitors.

A group of patients and attendants told news agency JKNS that they were facing difficulties due to the unavailability of digital payment options. “In this digital era, online payments are not working here, which is very inconvenient for patients,” one of them said.

A patient said, “We had to arrange cash at the last moment as online payment was not available, which created unnecessary trouble.”

Another attendant, Faisal Farooq, said, “Most people rely on digital transactions nowadays, and such issues should be resolved at the earliest for smooth functioning.”

When contacted, Medical Superintendent SKIMS Bemina, Dr. Shifa Deva, told JKNS that the hospital is in the process of implementing a new system.

“We are replicating the same system as of SKIMS Soura. The previous one was not working well. It will take a few days,” she said. (JKNS)
