He further stated, “India has endured decades of cross-border terror, but today our response is firm, decisive and unwavering. Through determined action, we have demonstrated that any attempt to harm our people or disrupt our unity will be met with strength and clarity.”

The statement comes on the first anniversary of the April 22, 2025 terror attack in Baisaran, Pahalgam, where terrorists targeted tourists, killing 26 people, including 25 tourists and one pony ride operator.

Following the attack, India carried out retaliatory strikes on terror launch pads across the border on May 7 under “Operation Sindoor,” which continued for three days. The operation was later followed by a ceasefire announcement on May 11 at 5 PM. (JKNS)
