Anti-Drug Drive Gains Momentum as DIPR Hosts Awareness Programme at BHS Theed

Srinagar, Apr 21 (JKNS): As part of the ongoing Nasha Mukt Abhiyan, the Cultural Unit Kashmir of the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) organized an awareness programme at Government Boys High School (BHS) Theed, Harwan.

The event featured a thematic short play and a series of folk songs aimed at highlighting the harmful effects of drug abuse and promoting a healthy, substance-free lifestyle.

The performances were well received and widely applauded by the students and staff, who appreciated the engaging and impactful medium of communication.

Addressing the gathering, AECO, Cultural Unit Srinagar, Syed Shakeel Shan delivered a strong message to the youth, urging them to stay away from drugs and contribute positively to society.

Principal BHS Theed and other speakers also emphasized the importance of awareness, community participation, and early intervention in combating substance abuse.

The Principal expressed gratitude to the Cultural Unit Kashmir, for organizing such meaningful programmes across the Valley, stating that these initiatives play a vital role in educating and guiding young minds.

The programme concluded with a renewed commitment among students to uphold the values of a drug-free society and to act as ambassadors of positive change within their communities. (JKNS)
