The conference is being held under the guidance of Prof. M. Ashraf Ganie, Director SKIMS and President of the MP-PCOS Society. The theme for this year’s conference, “Metabolic Syndrome, Obesity, Ovarian Dysfunction and Diabetes (MOOD 2026)”, reflects the growing global concern around interconnected metabolic and endocrine disorders, particularly among women.

The two-day scientific event will bring together eminent international and national experts from across the country and abroad to deliberate on the latest advancements, research, and clinical practices in endocrinology and metabolic health.

The academic programme will feature invited talks, plenary lectures, panel discussions, and prestigious orations, providing a comprehensive platform for knowledge exchange. In addition, postgraduate students and young researchers will present their original research through oral and poster presentations, encouraging academic engagement and innovation.

Prof. M. Ashraf Ganie, Director SKIMS and President MP-PCOS Society, stated, “This conference is a significant step towards advancing our understanding of complex metabolic and endocrine disorders that are increasingly affecting our population.”

“By bringing together leading experts and young researchers on a common platform, we aim to foster collaborative learning, promote evidence-based practices, and strengthen our collective response to conditions like PCOS, obesity, and diabetes. SKIMS remains committed to academic excellence and to addressing emerging public health challenges through research and innovation,” he said.

The conference is expected to serve as a vital platform for interdisciplinary dialogue, capacity building, and dissemination of cutting-edge research, further reinforcing SKIMS’ role as a leading centre of excellence in healthcare and medical education. (JKNS)
