Plantation Drive Held at Lashtiyal Beat to Promote Green Environment

Kupwara (JKNS): A successful plantation drive was organized today at Lasitiyaal Beat (CO 96 NL) by the Kamraj Forest Division Kupwara in collaboration with the Lasitiyaal Youth Forum, aiming to promote environmental conservation and greenery in the region.

The event witnessed the presence of senior officials from the Forest Department, including the Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) and the Range Officer, North Lolab. Their participation highlighted the department’s continued commitment to sustainable environmental practices.

Students and teachers from Government Middle School Lasitiyaal actively took part in the drive, contributing enthusiastically to the plantation efforts. The Indian Army also joined the initiative, along with personnel from the Forest Protection Force, adding strength and support to the cause.

 

Officials appreciated the role of the Indian Army not only in safeguarding the nation’s borders but also in supporting environmental protection initiatives. The collaborative effort was widely praised as a step towards building a greener future.

 

The Lasitiyaal Youth Forum reiterated its commitment to promoting a clean and green environment and expressed its resolve to continue such initiatives with greater dedication in the coming years.(JKNS)
