In a post on X, Gajraj Corps of the Indian Army, as per news agency JKNS, wrote, “High Altitude Monorail System, Strengthening Frontline Operations.”

“Deployed at over 16,000 ft above mean sea level, this indigenously engineered monorail transport system stands as a first-of-its-kind, now officially recognised by the Asia Book of Records and the India Book of Records,” it said.

The post further stated that the system is a true embodiment of Atmanirbharta, transforming high-altitude logistics where conventional transport is challenging. “Operating day and night continuously for the last four months through sub-zero temperatures and rugged terrain, it has proven its mettle in forward areas,” it added.
