Speaking to reporters in Jammu, as per news agency JKNS, the Chief Minister said, “We are looking at how to further strengthen the relationship between J&K Bank and the government. The bank and the government have been working together for a long time, and we want to deepen this partnership.”

Referring to political developments, he said, “Alliances exist everywhere. In Assam, the BJP has an alliance with Assam Gana Parishad; in Tamil Nadu, alliances are also in place. Let us see what the people decide when votes are counted.”

On the prevailing international situation, CM Omar Abdullah reiterated his call for peace, stating, “As I said in the House, we want the war to end as soon as possible. There should be a ceasefire and an end to hostilities.”

He added, “No one can play the role that the Prime Minister can. He has good relations with all major countries, whether it is Israel, America, Iran or others in the region. If India can play a role in ending the war, no one should object.”

Emphasising the importance of diplomacy, he said, “If any country can contribute to ending the war, it should be allowed to do so. If we can play a better role, we must step forward.” (JKNS)
