NC Leaders Stage Protest Over Middle East Tensions, Demand Global Condemnation

Jammu, Mar 27 (JKNS): National Conference (NC) MLA’s, led by party’s chief spokesperson and MLA Zadibal Tanvir Sadiq, on Friday held a protest outside the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, voicing solidarity with Iran amid escalating tensions in the Middle East.

Addressing the media, Tanvir Sadiq as per news agency JKNS said, “We stand in solidarity with Iran. The entire National Conference and the J&K government stand together. Just as Omar Abdullah had earlier condemned the killing of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, we are united today. I have given a call attention and moved an adjournment motion.”

He further stated, “We believe no country has the right to attack another, and the killing of a religious leader in such a manner is condemnable. The top leadership of the country should also condemn it.”

 

The protest underscored NC’s position on international affairs, urging the government and global community to speak out against acts of violence targeting religious and political leaders. (JKNS)
