Bandipora, Mar 25 (JKNS): Residents of Budgund in Sonawari have expressed strong support for former MLA Mohammad Akbar Lone, stating that major developmental works in the area were carried out during his tenure.

Speaking to the media, locals said that key projects, including bridge construction, water supply schemes and improvements in the education sector, were initiated and completed under his leadership, significantly enhancing the living standards of the area.

The residents also reacted to recent remarks by an individual alleging that the former MLA had done no developmental work. Terming the claims as “baseless and misleading,” they rejected the allegations and said that visible development in Budgund stands as clear evidence of his contributions.

They further appreciated the ongoing works being carried forward by the current MLA Hilal Akbar Lone, stating that development activities continue in the constituency with the same commitment.

The residents collectively urged that facts should be acknowledged and misleading narratives avoided. (JKNS)
