Srinagar, Mar 23 (JKNS): Northern Command of the Indian Army on Monday said that Army Commander Lt Gen Pratik Sharma visited the Kishtwar sector of Jammu and Kashmir to assess operational preparedness and the overall security grid in the region.

In a post on X, Northern Command, as per news agency JKNS, stated that the Army Commander held detailed deliberations with commanders in the chain of command and also interacted with troops deployed in the sector.

The post further read that Lt Gen Sharma appreciated the sustained efforts, professionalism and resolute conduct of operations by the troops in challenging terrain and adverse weather conditions.

He also exhorted the forces to maintain operational momentum and ensure seamless coordination with other security agencies to uphold peace and stability in the region, it added. (JKNS)
