The vital road link had remained closed due to continuous heavy snowfall, strong winds, poor visibility, and the persistent threat of avalanches, severely affecting normal life in the region. With Eid approaching, many people were worried about being unable to reunite with their families for the festival.

Amid these challenging conditions, the district administration, the Indian Army, and the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) worked tirelessly day and night to restore connectivity. Sources stated that the restoration work was extremely difficult due to ongoing snowfall and avalanche risks. Despite these obstacles, the teams demonstrated high levels of professionalism and determination, managing to reopen the road within a limited timeframe.

With the road now operational, transport movement has resumed, bringing much-needed relief to the public and allowing people to celebrate Eid with their loved ones. Locals described the reopening as a blessing during the festive occasion.

On this occasion, Member of Legislative Assembly Karnah, Javed Ahmad Mirchal, appreciated the joint efforts of the administration, Army, and BRO, stating that serving the public during difficult times is the foremost responsibility. He highlighted that the coordinated response of all agencies is commendable, especially in a remote and border area like Karnah where ensuring basic connectivity is crucial.

Residents of the area also expressed their gratitude, noting that prolonged closure of the road would have caused further hardships. They thanked all the concerned authorities and expressed hope that such prompt and effective measures will continue in the future.

According to local observers, this timely action has not only eased public inconvenience but also strengthened trust in institutions, proving that even the toughest challenges can be overcome through collective effort and commitment.
