Illegal Mining; Shopian Police Seize three Tractors; FIR Registered

Shopian, Mar 5 (JKNS): Continuing its sustained drive against illegal mining, Police Post Keegam has seized three tractors involved in the unauthorized extraction and transportation of minerals in the Keegam area of the district.

In a statement issued here to news agency JKNS, During routine patrolling, a police party from Police Post Keegam intercepted a three tractors engaged in illegal mining activities without mandatory permissions. In this regard FIR No. 27/2026 under relevant provisions of law has been registered at Police Station Shopian and further investigation has been initiated.
