Restrictions to Continue Across Kashmir on Wednesday as Precautionary Measure

Srinagar, March 3 (JKNS): Authorities on tuesday evening said that restrictions will continue to remain in force across all districts of Kashmir on Wednesday as a precautionary measure following protests reported in parts of the Valley over the death of Iran’s leader Ali Khamenei.

Senior officials within the security grid told news agency JKNS that the decision to continue restrictions has been taken to maintain law and order and prevent any untoward incidents in view of the prevailing situation.

 

“It has been decided to continue restrictions on Wednesday as a precautionary measure to ensure a peaceful atmosphere,” a senior official said adding that the situation largely remained peaceful.

 

Officials added that the situation is being closely monitored and further decisions will be taken accordingly. (JKNS)
