TRAI Holds Consumer Outreach Programme on Quality of Service in Srinagar

Srinagar, Feb 26 (JKNS): The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), Regional Office Delhi, conducted a Consumer Outreach Programme on Quality of Service (QoS) in the Telecom and Broadcasting sector today at Government College for Women, M.A. Road, Srinagar.

The programme witnessed participation of around 200 attendees, including students, faculty members, representatives of TRAI-registered Consumer Organisations, Telecom Service Providers and representatives of the Jammu & Kashmir Government.

Officers of TRAI, Rajesh Tripathi, Joint Advisor, and Sushil Kumar Bansal, Senior Research Officer, along with representatives from Airtel, BSNL, Jio and Vodafone Idea, delivered sessions on improving telecom and broadcasting services. Sessions on cyber fraud and the steps to prevent such frauds were also conducted.

TRAI DND Application was highlighted during the programme, and many participants downloaded the app and other TRAI applications to adopt proactive measures against Unsolicited Commercial Communications.

Issues relating to regulations on Quality of Service in the Telecom and Broadcasting sector, drive tests, in-building solutions, building rating and Right of Way (RoW) rules were also discussed. (JKNS)
