Adding cultural warmth to the occasion, a special message was shared by Tangdhar’s renowned singer Kabul Bukhar, dedicated to the people of Karnah. His message celebrated unity, resilience, and the rich cultural heritage of the region, making the World Radio Day celebrations even more meaningful.

The GOC lauded Rooh-e-Karnah’s sustained efforts in raising awareness on crucial issues such as health, education, women empowerment, skill development, and employment generation. He noted that the station has emerged as a powerful platform for positive change, fostering dialogue and encouraging constructive participation from youth and civil society.

Highlighting the importance of coordinated development, Maj Gen Nair commended the strong synergy between the Army, civil administration, and the local populace. He stated that such collaboration is essential for driving inclusive growth and ensuring long-term stability and prosperity in border areas.

Addressing emerging social challenges, the GOC expressed serious concern over the growing drug menace, terming it a grave threat to the youth and the future of the region. He called for collective vigilance from families, educators, community leaders, and media institutions to curb the spread of narcotics. Stressing the need for stringent action against drug peddlers, he urged society to stand united in safeguarding the younger generation from this destructive influence.

The visit concluded on a note of mutual commitment to strengthening community engagement and promoting awareness through responsible media. World Radio Day at Rooh-e-Karnah thus became a symbol of unity, cultural pride, and a shared resolve to build a healthier, empowered, and drug-free Karnah. (JKNS)
