CRPF Chief Reviews Valley Security, Assesses Ground-Level Preparedness During Srinagar Visit

Srinagar, Jan 31 (JKNS): G. P. Singh, DG CRPF while on his 2 say visit to Kashmir, visited Srinagar on Friday and Saturday and reviewed the operational preparedness of the Force.

DG, who is on a 2 days visit of the valley, proceeded to 54 Battalion CRPF, Nishat, shortly after landing at Srinagar airport in the afternoon.

DG, accompanied by Vitul Kumar, SDG Ops Dte, Rajesh Kumar, ADG J&K Zone, Vineet Brijlal, IG, Ops Kashmir Sector and Pawan Kumar Sharma, IG Srinagar Sector, inspected the Battalion, chaired an operational meeting and interacted with Jawans.

DG further visited HQ Srinagar Sector CRPF and chaired a high-level security meeting & reviewed functioning of new Command and Control Center. Taking stock of the prevailing security situation in the valley, DG reaffirmed CRPF’s unwavering commitment to ensure incident free and maintain peaceful atmosphere in the valley as far as terrorist activities are concern.

On 31/01/2026, the DG visited Group Centre Srinagar and deliberated upon the security scenario and Ops preparedness with the all commanders.

Further DG visited 44 Bn and interacted with the Jawans in a Sainik Sammelan and addressed their grievances. In his address, DG lauded the personnel for their steadfast commitment to duty and their service to the Motherland. He also, expressed his confidence that the Force will continue to serve the Nation with zeal and valour. (JKNS)
