New Delhi, Jan 29 (JKNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Republic Day Tableau secured Second Position at the national level during the Republic Day Parade 2026, marking a proud moment for the Union Territory.

According to the official results of the Republic Day Parade (RDP) 2026 accessed by news agency JKNS, Jammu and Kashmir’s tableau, themed “Handicrafts and Folk Dances of Jammu & Kashmir,” was adjudged second best among tableaux presented by States and Union Territories under the Judges’ Choice category.

The first position was awarded to Maharashtra for its tableau themed “Ganeshotsav: A Symbol of Atmanirbharta,” while Kerala secured the third position for “Water Metro & 100% Digital Literacy – Atmanirbhar Kerala for Atmanirbhar Bharat.”

The J&K tableau showcased the Union Territory’s rich cultural heritage, traditional handicrafts and vibrant folk dances, drawing widespread appreciation during the national parade.

The achievement is being seen as a significant recognition of Jammu and Kashmir’s cultural diversity and artistic legacy on the national stage. —(JKNS)
