Paying glowing tributes to freedom fighters, martyrs and security personnel, the LG said the sacrifices of the Indian Army, paramilitary forces and Jammu and Kashmir Police continue to remain the backbone of national unity, integrity and internal security.

He reiterated that terrorism, whether orchestrated from across the border or operating locally, will be dealt with decisively and neutralised completely.

Highlighting the transformation witnessed in Jammu and Kashmir in recent years, the Lieutenant Governor said the Union Territory has entered a new era of peace, justice and development, where relief and dignity are being extended to terror-affected families and youth are being empowered through transparent recruitment, entrepreneurship and skill development initiatives.

He emphasised that government jobs and opportunities are being provided to the victims of terrorism and not to those associated with violence.

The LG also enumerated major achievements across key sectors, including sustained economic growth, unprecedented infrastructure development, enhanced rail and road connectivity, expansion of power projects, agricultural reforms, industrial growth, revival of tourism, education reforms, healthcare augmentation and women-led development.

He said Mission YUVA has emerged as a game-changer by nurturing entrepreneurship among youth, while digital governance reforms have ensured transparency and efficient service delivery.
