Srinagar, Jan 24 (JKNS): Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has accorded Cabinet Minister rank and status to Nasir Aslam Wani, Advisor to the Chief Minister.
An official order issued by LG Sinha and accessed by news agency JKNS, states that Wani will receive a consolidated monthly remuneration of Rs 80,000, besides being provided rent-free accommodation and official transport through the Motor Garages Department.
Nasir Aslam Wani, a senior National Conference leader, has previously served as a minister and is considered a key confidant of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah. —(JKNS)
