Traffic Restored on Daksum-Sinthan-Chhatroo, Gowran–Margan Roads with Restrictions

Srinagar, Jan 8 (JKNS): The Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Kokernag has ordered the resumption of vehicular traffic on the Daksum-Sinthan Top-Chhatroo Road (NH-244) and the Gowran-Margan Top Road following improvement in weather conditions and completion of snow clearance.

According to the order issued by SDM Kokernag as per news agency JKNS, traffic on both roads will be allowed from January 9, 2026 onwards, between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm only, till further orders.

The order further states that as icy patches continue to exist at certain locations, making the road surface slippery, only vehicles fitted with anti-skid or snow chains will be permitted to ply on these routes. Vehicles without anti-skid chains shall not be allowed.

Meanwhile, the Station House Officer (SHO), Police Station Larnoo, has been directed to ensure strict enforcement of the order on the ground to avoid any mishap. (JKNS)
