Centre Orders Major AGMUT Reshuffle, Transfers 31 IAS and 18 IPS Officers

Multiple postings in J&K, several senior officers moved out

New Delhi, Jan 4 (JKNS): The Ministry of Home Affairs has ordered a significant reshuffle of IAS and IPS officers of the AGMUT cadre, transferring 31 IAS and 18 IPS officers across Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Delhi and other Union Territories and States.

As per an official order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs and accessed by news agency Jammu and Kashmir News Service (JKNS), the transfers have been approved by the competent authority and will take effect immediately until further orders.

Among the IAS officers, Ashwani Kumar (1992 batch) has been posted from Delhi to Jammu and Kashmir, while Sanjeev Khirwar (1994) has been shifted from Ladakh to Delhi. Santosh D Vaidya (1998) has been transferred from Jammu and Kashmir to Delhi, and Padma Jaiswal (2003) from Puducherry to Delhi.

Shurbir Singh (2004) has been moved from Delhi to Ladakh, while R Alice Vaz (2005) has been posted from Delhi to Jammu and Kashmir. Yashpal Garg (2008) from Arunachal Pradesh and Sanjeev Ahuja (2008) from Goa have been transferred to Delhi.

Niraj Kumar (2010) has been shifted from Jammu and Kashmir to Delhi, while Syed Abid Rashid Shah (2012) has been posted from Jammu and Kashmir to Chandigarh. Baseer ul Haq Chaudhary (2015) has also been transferred out of Jammu and Kashmir and posted to Ladakh.

Several other IAS officers from batches 2012 to 2020 have been relocated across Delhi, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Goa, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh, Ladakh and Jammu and Kashmir as part of the reshuffle.

In the IPS cadre, Ajit Kumar Singla (2004) has been transferred from Puducherry to Delhi, while Mangesh Kashyap (2009) has been moved from Delhi to Arunachal Pradesh. Rajiv Ranjan Singh (2010) has been posted from Delhi to Chandigarh, and Prashant Priya Gautam (2013) has been transferred from Delhi to Jammu and Kashmir.

SSP Shobhit D Saksena (2015) has been shifted out of Jammu and Kashmir and posted to Delhi. Several other IPS officers from batches 2013 to 2021 have also been transferred between Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Goa, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Puducherry.

The order has been issued under file number 14020/04/2022-UTS.I and is signed by Rakesh Kumar Singh, Under Secretary to the Government of India. (JKNS)
