Anjuman Srinagar Literary Forum Charts Roadmap, Adopts Constitution at Srinagar Meet

Srinagar, Jan 4 (JKNS): A meeting of the Anjuman Srinagar Literary Forum a collective platform of writers, poets, critics and literary activists dedicated to the promotion, preservation and enrichment of Kashmiri, Urdu and allied literary traditions was held today at Hotel Burj, Khanyar, Srinagar.

The meeting deliberated upon the activities of the forum, adoption of its constitution, and held a detailed and threadbare discussion on the future plans and programmes of the organisation.

The meeting was attended by members Bashir Arif, Imdad Saqi, Gh Hassan Ghamgeen, Bashir Buch, Mehraj-ud-Din Ahmad, Farooq Shabnum, Abid Gowhar and Sahil Dar. Members currently outside the Valley Mohd Zaman Azurdha, Rukhsana Jabeen, Shad Ramzan and Zarif Ahmad Zarif participated online and were taken fully into confidence during the deliberations.

During the meeting, rich tributes were paid to the departed literary figures Ab Ahad Farhad and Fayaz Dilbar. The members also expressed deep condolences over the demise of the brother of Rafeeq Ishbari. A moment of silence was observed, and prayers were offered for eternal peace to the departed souls.

The meeting was presided over by Imdad Saqi, who emphasised the need for collective efforts to strengthen the forum and actively promote literary and cultural activities in the region. (JKNS)
