Budgam Police Engage Youth Through Sports Under Civic Action Programme

Budgam, Dec 30 (JKNS): Budgam Police under supervision of SSP Budgam Shri Nikhil Borkar IPS on Tuesday organized a Volleyball Tournament under the Civic Action Programme (CAP) at Government Higher Secondary School, Magam.

In a statement issued here to news agency JKNS, Four teams from Dangerpora, Sodipora, Magam, and Mazhama enthusiastically participated, demonstrating remarkable sportsmanship, dedication, and team spirit.

The event was graced by SDPO Magam Mohd Ashrif Lissery, SHO Magam Mudassir Zaroo, and DO Narbal Sharafat Mohiddin, who encouraged the participants and interacted with the youth, it reads.

The primary objective of organizing such sports activities under CAP is to promote a healthy lifestyle among the youth, prevent drug abuse, and channelize their energy towards constructive and disciplined pursuits. Budgam Police remains committed to engaging youth through community-oriented programmes focusing on sports, education, and awareness campaigns, it reads.

The event concluded with appreciation and encouragement for all participating teams to remain active in sports and contribute positively to society. Budgam Police reaffirmed its resolve to continue similar initiatives across the district to strengthen police-community relations and foster a drug-free, progressive society, reads the statement.
