AIKS holds AGM – presses for Comprehensive return policy, formation of Apex Committee and Setting up of Temples & Shrines Board

Karnah, Dec 29 (JKNS): All India Kashmiri Samaj Regd. in its annual General meeting has called upon Central & State Governments for Comprehensive return Policy, Assembly resolution for return & Rehabilitation, Political empowerments of Kashmiri Pandits and setting up of Temples & Shrines Board for Protection of temples & shrines in the valley.

The audited financial report and the Report card of AIKS activities in 2025 were also presented and deliberated upon in the meeting.

In its second session deliberations were held on the upcoming community census requesting the central govt to declare the community as Distinct community with reverse minority status.

Also listing of ancestral properties left behind with revenue documents and short term policies that Govt should initiate immediately. ” The apex committee of Kashmiri pandits that was disbanded in 2014 should be restored and reconstituted for better coordination of Govt with the community” said Ravinder Pandita, President of AIKS.

AIKS is also working with Central Govt and Delhi state govt for setting up of Kashmiri academy and a museum in Delhi.

Sunil Kaul, General Secretary presented the vote of thanks followed by high tea. AIKS also celebrated its 45 years of its inception at the AGM.

Affiliates from Jammu, Hyderabad and Delhi-NCR participated in the day-long AGM. (JKNS)
