Students from institutions including New Public Modern Educational Institute, Woodlands House School, The Bonvivant English High School, along with various colleges from across the Valley, took part in the programme. Through interactions with peers and communities outside the region, the tour aimed to enhance confidence, communication skills, and appreciation of India’s diverse cultural fabric.

The accompanying teachers, Mr. Mohd Shafi Gadiyari and Mr. Farooq Ahmad Dar, provided continuous mentorship and academic guidance to the students throughout the journey.

As part of the itinerary, the participants visited prominent heritage sites such as the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, and Raj Ghat, offering them first-hand exposure to India’s rich history and cultural legacy. In addition, visits to key military establishments in and around New Delhi and Agra allowed students to witness the Indian Army’s values of discipline, courage, resilience, and professional excellence.

The initiative reflects the Indian Army’s continued commitment to nation-building through meaningful youth engagement. By nurturing informed minds and confident personalities, the tour sought to inspire students to emerge as responsible citizens and future leaders. The programme also stands as a testament to the Army’s sustained efforts to promote harmony and national integration across the Valley. (JKNS)
