Srinagar, Dec 13 (JKNS): A two-day theatre seminar titled “Modern Kashmiri Theatre Drama, A Look Back, Present Scenario & Prospects” was successfully organized by the Sahitya Akademi, Ministry of Culture, Government of India, in collaboration with the Young Dramatists Society, Srinagar.

The seminar brought together eminent theatre personalities, scholars, directors, playwrights, and practitioners to deliberate on the evolution, contemporary trends, challenges, and future prospects of Kashmiri theatre. The sessions witnessed meaningful discussions, paper presentations, and interactive exchanges, highlighting the rich legacy and modern transformations of Kashmiri theatre drama.

The event was held under the leadership of Prof. Shad Ramzan and Mr. Mushtaq Baqal, President of the Young Dramatists Society. The seminar was graced by renowned theatre dignitaries including Syed Javid Gilani, Majeed Majazi, Mohammad Amin Bhat, Bashir Dada, Mushtaq Ali, Ali Mohammad Nishtar, along with several other noted theatre personalities, artists, researchers, and students.

The organizers expressed their sincere gratitude to J&K Bank Corporate Communications for their valuable support, which played a significant role in the successful conduct of this important cultural and academic event.
