Officials informed that the devices were provided at no cost through the DEIC Centre, which continues to extend dedicated support to children with special needs.

They further said that a fully functional Hearing Assessment and Speech Therapy Centre under DEIC is operational at MMABM Associated GMC Anantnag. Residents of south Kashmir have been advised that they no longer need to travel to higher centres for these services, as both assessment and therapy are now available locally and free of charge.
