“The elected government is in favour of relaxing the upper age limit for recruitment, and the file has already been sent to Lok Bhawan. Till the process is completed, the Public Service Commission should defer the examination,” Wani said.

He confirmed that the file on age relaxation, sent earlier this week by the CM Omar Abdullah led government, was returned by the Lieutenant Governor’s office with certain queries.

“The file has now been forwarded by the General Administration Department to the Public Service Commission for its opinion,” he added. (JKNS)
