Karnah, Dec 3 (JKNS): The North Forest Division Karnah has issued an important notice, strictly warning all residents of the area that several forest fire incidents have been reported in recent days, which can pose serious threats to the environment, wildlife, and human life and property.

According to the department, due to dry weather, strong winds, and the abundance of dry grass, fires can spread rapidly. Therefore, people living near forest areas are especially advised to avoid any negligence that may cause a fire outbreak.

The notice further states that even a slight carelessness while working in grazing fields or collecting grass can prove fatal. The public is urged to strictly refrain from lighting fires within forest boundaries, throwing partially burnt cigarette pieces, or engaging in any fire-related activity.

The Forest Department has also made it clear that if anyone notices smoke or fire anywhere, they should immediately inform the department so that teams can respond in time and minimize the damage.

This warning is being considered particularly important because even a small spark in sensitive forest areas can lead to a major incident. Forests can only be protected through public cooperation. (JKNS)
