Awareness Camp in Shopian Highlights Self-Employment Schemes for Backward Classes

Srinagar, Nov 26 (JKNS): The Jammu & Kashmir Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes & Backward Classes Development corporation conducted Awareness Camp at Main, Shopian on 26th November 2025 in collaboration with National Backward Classes Finance & Development Corporation (NBCFDC), New Delhi.

As per news agency JKNS, The Camp aimed to educate various Self employment income generating Schemes offered by Corporation at concessional rates of interest.

The event witnessed a impressive turnout, with significant number of attendee from Backward Classes along with participants from diverse section of society.

The camp served as a platform to inform about Schemes, particularly those adapted for the upliftment of Backward Classes Communities.

Officials from corporation gave a comprehensive information on the scheme’s goals, benefits and application procedures of the schemes. Deputy General Manager,
Sh. Mehmood-ul -Haq Gundroo, District Manager Sh. Mohammad Maqbool Ganie, Accounts Officer Sh. Babar Bashir along with other staff were present at the event.

The corporation expressed its commitment to continue such Awareness programmes in future to ensure wider coverage and inclusion of beneficiaries.
On the spot distribution of brochures, pamphlets and application forms was facilitated during the event. (JKNS)
