J&K Govt Orders Preamble Reading on Nov 26 Across UT on Constitution Day

UT-Wide Celebrations to Feature Digital Displays, Murals, Quizzes, Film Screenings, Clean-Up Drives & “Samvidhan Run”

Srinagar, Nov 21 (JKNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Friday issued a detailed set of instructions for the observance of Constitution Day, directing all government offices, PSUs and educational institutions across the Union Territory to hold a Preamble reading ceremony at 11 a.m. on November 26.

In an official circular issued by Govt as per news agency JKNS, has also outlined a series of additional activities to commemorate the day.

These include installation of interactive walls and digital screens, community murals, quizzes, pledges, open debates, documentary and film screenings, and the “Samvidhan Run for Rights.”

Departments have further been instructed to illuminate major government buildings and monuments, organise clean-up drives, exhibitions, webinars, and encourage people to create artwork reflecting constitutional values, the officials added.

As per the circular, photographs and videos of the events are to be uploaded on the portal “constitution75.com”, while participants have also been advised to access the MyGov platform for updates related to the celebrations.

The Government has directed all Divisional Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners, Heads of Departments and Managing Directors of PSUs to ensure uniform compliance with the schedule across their respective jurisdictions. (JKNS)
