Candlelight Marches Held Across North Kashmir to Condemn Red Fort Terror Incident

Sopore, Nov 12 (JKNS): Candlelight marches were held across Sopore, Zaingair, Rafiabad, Langate, and Handwara on Wednesday evening to strongly condemn the recent terror incident near Delhi’s Red Fort and to express solidarity with the victims and their families.

As per reports received by news agency JKNS, the peaceful march in Sopore town witnessed participation from people belonging to all walks of life including members of civil society, lawyers, transporters, traders, students, and local politicians. Participants carried candles and placards bearing messages of peace, unity, and resilience.

Speakers during the event denounced terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, terming it a cowardly act intended to disrupt social harmony and national peace.

The gatherings across various North Kashmir towns also observed a two-minute silence in memory of the victims of the Red Fort attack.

The events concluded with participants taking a collective pledge to uphold peace, communal harmony, and the spirit of brotherhood across the region. (JKNS)
