Bandipora Police Conducts Major Crackdown on Banned Jamaat-e-Islami; Raids Multiple Locations Across District

Bandipora, Nov 12 (JKNS): In a major security operation aimed at dismantling the terror ecosystem and its support structures, Bandipora Police today launched a massive crackdown against the banned organisation Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI) across multiple locations in the district.

As per news agency JKNS, During the coordinated raids, police teams searched the residential premises and other locations linked with JeI members and their associates. Incriminating materials, including documents and digital devices, were seized on the spot for detailed examination.

The raids were part of sustained efforts to trace, disrupt, and neutralise networks aiding terrorist and subversive activities in the region. “Several Jamaat-e-Islami members were questioned and bound down under relevant sections to prevent their further involvement in unlawful activities,”

It may be recalled that Jamaat-e-Islami was banned by the Central Government in 2019 for its alleged links with terror outfits and its role in promoting separatist ideology. The ongoing operations are aimed at ensuring that remnants of the outfit’s network are completely dismantled at the grassroots level.

Bandipora Police reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining peace, stability, and security in the district and ensuring that elements attempting to disrupt public order face strict legal action. (JKNS
