Srinagar, Nov 9 (JKNS): Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Sunday firmly rejected allegations of having approached the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for an alliance in 2024, saying he is ready to swear on the Holy Quran to prove his stand.

Responding sharply to the remarks of Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma, Omar further wrote, “Unlike Sunil Sharma, I don’t tell lies for a living.”

Omar’s statement came after Sunil Sharma challenged the Chief Minister to “swear on the Quran” that he had not approached the BJP seeking support or alliance in exchange for Statehood restoration.

The political exchange has intensified the ongoing discourse over alliances and political strategies ahead of the evolving political landscape in Jammu & Kashmir. (JKNS)
