During the inspection, officials checked for expiry dates on food products, authenticity of the items being sold, and emphasized the mandatory display of approved rate lists by shopkeepers. Business owners were strictly instructed to maintain cleanliness, avoid overpricing, and adhere to all public health and food safety norms.

The initiative was met with appreciation from local residents, who viewed it as a necessary measure to curb malpractices and promote safe consumer practices in the area.

Police officials reaffirmed their commitment to continuing such drives in the future and urged citizens to report any irregularities or violations to help maintain standards across markets. (JKNS)
