The areas visited included Batapora, Navbal, Gandabal, Tangbal, Kharpora, Nowpora Kharpora, and Wani Mohalla Navbal, where residents have been severely impacted by recent floods.

Accompanied by Block President Qaimoh, Mohammad Imran Malla, and other senior party leaders, Bhat met with affected families and listened to their grievances. The local population raised pressing concerns related to the lack of potable drinking water and other urgent civic issues.

Speaking to the media during the visit, Mohammad Amin Bhat urged the government to initiate a comprehensive rehabilitation policy on a war footing. “It is imperative that the administration takes immediate action to provide relief and rehabilitation to those affected by the floods. The people are in distress and need timely assistance to rebuild their lives,” he said.

Bhat assured the public that he would raise all grievances with the concerned authorities to ensure that adequate measures are taken at the earliest. “The voices of the people must be heard, and I will ensure their issues are brought to the attention of the administration,” he added.

The visit aimed to assess the on-ground situation and push for immediate governmental intervention to address the aftermath of the flooding in the region. (JKNS)
