Srinagar, Sep 4 (JKNS): Union Minister of State in the PMO, Dr. Jitendra Singh, on Thursday said he has reviewed the situation arising out of flash floods in parts of Doda, including Rout Marmat, where damage has also occurred on the Doda–Kishtwar road.

Taking to X, Dr. Singh as per news agency JKNS said he had spoken to DC Doda, Harvinder Singh, and lauded the swift action of the local administration in Bhaderwah during peak flooding. “The administration acted promptly by clearing choked culverts at Gatha and diverting water channels with heavy machinery, which prevented large-scale inundation and loss of property in the town,” he noted.
