Srinagar, Sep 3 (JKNS): Union Minister Kiren Rijiju on Wednesday congratulated Dr. Darakhshan Andrabi and the Jammu & Kashmir Waqf Board for leading the historic renovation of Hazratbal Dargah, terming it a proud cultural milestone for J&K’s spiritual heritage.

In a post on X, Rijiju as per news agency JKNS wrote that this was the first major interior transformation of the shrine after 1968. He noted that the new design blends modernity with the traditional artistry of Kashmir.

“The renovation of Hazratbal is a proud cultural milestone for J&K’s spiritual heritage,” Rijiju wrote, adding that he was grateful to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for their vision and support.

The minister also extended greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the occasion of the renovation of the revered shrine. (JKNS)
