Samba, Aug 21 (JKNS): A pilgrim bus from Uttar Pradesh met with an accident in the Jatwal area of Samba district on Thursday, resulting in the death of one person and injuries to 40 others.
An official told news agency JKNS that the bus was en route to the revered Shri Mata Vaishno Devi shrine in Katra.
The incident occurred this morning, claiming the life of one individual on the spot. The bus was carrying a total of 70 passengers, of whom 40 were injured in the crash.
Following the accident, local residents and authorities quickly initiated rescue operations. The injured passengers were swiftly transported to a local hospital for medical attention.
Cognizance of the incident has been taken and further investigation initiated. (JKNS)
