Jammu, Aug 17 (JKNS): The Directorate of School Education Jammu has directed that all Government and Private schools across Jammu Division will remain closed tomorrow, August 18, due to prevailing bad weather conditions.
An order issued by the Director of School Education Jammu, as per news agency JKNS, stated, “All Government as well as Private Schools of Jammu Division shall remain closed for tomorrow i.e., 18.08.2025.”
The step, officials said, has been taken in view of heavy rains and safety concerns for students, with weather authorities warning of further deterioration in coming hours.
The decision comes close on the heels of recent cloudbursts and flash floods that left over 60 people dead, hundreds injured, and dozens missing across the region. (JKNS)
