Budgam, Aug 6 (JKNS): A woman who was critically injured in a hit‑and‑run incident in Beerwa area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Wednesday has succumbed to her injuries at SMHS Hospital Srinagar, while her son remains in a critical condition.
An official told news agency JKNS that the accident occurred when a speeding tipper rammed into their scooter on a busy stretch of road, critically injuring the mother‑son duo off the vehicle.
Both were shifted to nearby hospital before they were referred to SMHS Srinagar for advanced treatment, where the woman succumbed to her injuries while her son’s condition remains to be critical.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and the driver has been arrested, official said. (JKNS)
