Two Jammu Police Officials Suspended Pending Arms Act Investigation

Jammu, July 25 (JKNS): Jammu and Kashmir Police have suspended two officials pending investigation into a case registered under the Arms Act at Police Station Satwari.

According to an order issued by Senior Superintendent of Police, Jammu a copy of which lies with news agency JKNS, HC Baljinder Singh (PID No. EXJ997434) and Sgt. Pawan Singh (PID No. EXJ076429) have been placed under suspension with immediate effect.

The order states that both officials will remain posted at DPL Jammu and will deposit their uniform articles in the DPL store. They will, however, be entitled to draw subsistence allowances as per rules.

The suspension follows the registration of FIR No. 153/2025 under sections 109(1), 3(5) BNS, and 3/27 Arms Act on July 24, 2025. Dy.SP Headquarters Jammu has been directed to hold a departmental enquiry, with the enquiry officer asked to complete the proceedings on merit and submit the findings for further action.

Further investigations are underway. (JKNS)
